Sarah and Barbie
I was always a little jealous that my younger sister got to have a real Barbie doll with that special carrying black patent leather (real, I am sure) case, the high heels, the glasses, and those heavenly evening gowns! I was stuck with a Ginny doll, about half the size, no breasts and little tweed car coats and matching hats! The one good thing my sister did when she was too young to be held responsible, although, she has always been the brighter sister so I really do think she knew what she was doing...anyway, she washed my Ginny doll and all the hand made Catholic girl school clothes in airplane glue. Outwardly, I had to act enraged, but secretly I was glad to be rid of that goody two shoes doll. Maybe I would finally get a Barbie of my own. But my mother intervened. I was too old for a Barbie....really? In third grade??? I never really got over it until now! Now, I finally have a real live Barbie and I can see her everyday on the tube! She has glasses, and high heels, and breasts, well....three out of four isn't bad....missing the evening gowns! She probably does come in a little carrying case and those in charge can bring her out anytime there is a need for entertainment.

Okay, lets say the story is true! Does this mean I should stock up on airplane glue and take care of the new Barbie? Wink Wink!
After reading the saga of Ginny's life in Julias...where does a real life Ginny fit with big boobs and still kinda goody two shoes? I am sure I had a doll called Julia that I adored...I always adored people with a name like Julia, it almost seems magical!
